Best Electric Laundry Racks in Malaysia (2026 Buyer’s Guide)

Ampaian baju pintar Bellbro Endura II Pro dipasang di siling

Drying clothes indoors is a daily problem in Malaysian homes: afternoon rain, humid air, small balconies and condo rules against hanging laundry outside. An electric laundry rack, mounted on the ceiling, solves this by lifting clothes out of the way and, on some models, drying them with air and UV. This guide explains what to look for, so you can choose the right one for your home.

Electric laundry rack in a Malaysian home: Bellbro Endura II ceiling-mounted rack

Disclosure: we are Bellbro, the Malaysian brand behind the Endura II series, so we mention our own models below. The checklist applies to any brand you are comparing.

What is an electric laundry rack?

An electric (or smart) laundry rack is a drying rack fixed to your ceiling. A motor lowers it to a comfortable height for hanging clothes, then lifts it up near the ceiling. Many models add an LED light, and higher-end models add UV sterilisation and hot or cold air drying.

7 things to check before you buy

  1. Motorised lift and remote. You should be able to raise and lower the rack without pulling ropes.
  2. Drying method. A lift-only rack still relies on room air. Models with a built-in blower dry faster on rainy days.
  3. UV sterilisation. Useful if you dry towels, school uniforms or baby clothes indoors.
  4. Load capacity. Ask for the maximum load in kg and compare it with your typical laundry load. Endura II supports up to 35 kg.
  5. Size and pole length. Check that the pole length range suits your ceiling drop and that the rack fits the room. Endura II Lite uses a 100 cm body with a 110–180 cm pole. Pro and Max use a 130 cm body with a 130–220 cm pole.
  6. Installation. Ask what ceiling types are supported and what installation costs. Our installation is RM250 for concrete ceilings and RM350 for false ceilings.
  7. Warranty and after-sales. Look for a clear warranty and a local team. Endura II comes with a 2-year warranty and a showroom in Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur.
